The Backup and Staging by WP Time Capsule plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the the UploadHandler.php file and no direct file access prevention in all versions up to, and including, 1.22.21. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

  • (es) El complemento Backup and Staging de WP Time Capsule para WordPress es vulnerable a la carga de archivos arbitrarios debido a la falta de validación del tipo de archivo en el archivo UploadHandler.php y a la falta de prevención de acceso directo a archivos en todas las versiones hasta la 1.22.21 incluida. Esto permite que atacantes no autenticados carguen archivos arbitrarios en el servidor del sitio afectado, lo que puede hacer posible la ejecución remota de código.
