CVE-2019-11486 | 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more | 10 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Active Iq and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
The Siemens R3964 line discipline driver in drivers/tty/n_r3964.c in the Linux kernel before 5.0.8 has multiple race conditions.
CVE-2019-11215 | 1 Combodo | 1 Itop | 2024-11-21 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
In Combodo iTop 2.2.0 through 2.6.0, if the configuration file is writable, then execution of arbitrary code can be accomplished by calling ajax.dataloader with a maliciously crafted payload. Many conditions can place the configuration file into a writable state: during installation; during upgrade; in certain cases, an error during modification of the file from the web interface leaves the file writable (can be triggered with XSS); a race condition can be triggered by the hub-connector module (community version only from 2.4.1 to 2.6.0); or editing the file in a CLI.
CVE-2019-11191 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2024-11-21 | 1.9 LOW | 2.5 LOW |
The Linux kernel through 5.0.7, when CONFIG_IA32_AOUT is enabled and ia32_aout is loaded, allows local users to bypass ASLR on setuid a.out programs (if any exist) because install_exec_creds() is called too late in load_aout_binary() in fs/binfmt_aout.c, and thus the ptrace_may_access() check has a race condition when reading /proc/pid/stat. NOTE: the software maintainer disputes that this is a vulnerability because ASLR for a.out format executables has never been supported
CVE-2019-11190 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2024-11-21 | 4.7 MEDIUM | 4.7 MEDIUM |
The Linux kernel before 4.8 allows local users to bypass ASLR on setuid programs (such as /bin/su) because install_exec_creds() is called too late in load_elf_binary() in fs/binfmt_elf.c, and thus the ptrace_may_access() check has a race condition when reading /proc/pid/stat.
CVE-2019-11184 | 2 Intel, Netapp | 482 3106, 3106 Firmware, 4109t and 479 more | 2024-11-21 | 2.3 LOW | 4.8 MEDIUM |

In run of InstallPackageTask.java in Android-7.0, Android-7.1.1, Android-7.1.2, Android-8.0, Android-8.1 and Android-9, it is possible that package verification is turned off and remains off due to a race condition. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Android ID: A-116754444.
CVE-2018-9539 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2024-11-21 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |

CVE-2018-8897 | 8 Apple, Canonical, Citrix and 5 more | 11 Mac Os X, Ubuntu Linux, Xenserver and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
A statement in the System Programming Guide of the Intel 64 and IA-32 Architectures Software Developer's Manual (SDM) was mishandled in the development of some or all operating-system kernels, resulting in unexpected behavior for #DB exceptions that are deferred by MOV SS or POP SS, as demonstrated by (for example) privilege escalation in Windows, macOS, some Xen configurations, or FreeBSD, or a Linux kernel crash. The MOV to SS and POP SS instructions inhibit interrupts (including NMIs), data breakpoints, and single step trap exceptions until the instruction boundary following the next instruction (SDM Vol. 3A; section 6.8.3). (The inhibited data breakpoints are those on memory accessed by the MOV to SS or POP to SS instruction itself.) Note that debug exceptions are not inhibited by the interrupt enable (EFLAGS.IF) system flag (SDM Vol. 3A; section 2.3). If the instruction following the MOV to SS or POP to SS instruction is an instruction like SYSCALL, SYSENTER, INT 3, etc. that transfers control to the operating system at CPL < 3, the debug exception is delivered after the transfer to CPL < 3 is complete. OS kernels may not expect this order of events and may therefore experience unexpected behavior when it occurs.
CVE-2018-8885 | 1 Canonical | 2 Screen-resolution-extra, Ubuntu Linux | 2024-11-21 | 4.4 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
screenresolution-mechanism in screen-resolution-extra 0.17.2 does not properly use the PolicyKit D-Bus API, which allows local users to bypass intended access restrictions by leveraging a race condition via a setuid or pkexec process that is mishandled in a PolicyKitService._check_permission call.
CVE-2018-8037 | 2 Apache, Debian | 2 Tomcat, Debian Linux | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
If an async request was completed by the application at the same time as the container triggered the async timeout, a race condition existed that could result in a user seeing a response intended for a different user. An additional issue was present in the NIO and NIO2 connectors that did not correctly track the closure of the connection when an async request was completed by the application and timed out by the container at the same time. This could also result in a user seeing a response intended for another user. Versions Affected: Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M9 to 9.0.9 and 8.5.5 to 8.5.31.
CVE-2018-8025 | 1 Apache | 1 Hbase | 2024-11-21 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
CVE-2018-8025 describes an issue in Apache HBase that affects the optional "Thrift 1" API server when running over HTTP. There is a race-condition which could lead to authenticated sessions being incorrectly applied to users, e.g. one authenticated user would be considered a different user or an unauthenticated user would be treated as an authenticated user. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-20664 implements a fix for this issue. It has been fixed in versions: 1.2.6.1, 1.3.2.1, 1.4.5, 2.0.1.
CVE-2018-7998 | 2 Debian, Libvips | 2 Debian Linux, Libvips | 2024-11-21 | 5.1 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
In libvips before 8.6.3, a NULL function pointer dereference vulnerability was found in the vips_region_generate function in region.c, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted image file. This occurs because of a race condition involving a failed delayed load and other worker threads.
CVE-2018-7995 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Linux | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2024-11-21 | 4.7 MEDIUM | 4.7 MEDIUM |
Race condition in the store_int_with_restart() function in arch/x86/kernel/cpu/mcheck/mce.c in the Linux kernel through 4.15.7 allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) by leveraging root access to write to the check_interval file in a /sys/devices/system/machinecheck/machinecheck<cpu number> directory. NOTE: a third party has indicated that this report is not security relevant
CVE-2018-7566 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 3 more | 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
The Linux kernel 4.15 has a Buffer Overflow via an SNDRV_SEQ_IOCTL_SET_CLIENT_POOL ioctl write operation to /dev/snd/seq by a local user. |
