A NULL pointer dereference, or possible use-after-free flaw was found in Samba AD LDAP server in versions before 4.10.17, before 4.11.11 and before 4.12.4. Although some versions of Samba shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux do not support Samba in AD mode, the affected code is shipped with the libldb package. This flaw allows an authenticated user to possibly trigger a use-after-free or NULL pointer dereference. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2020-10726 4 Dpdk, Fedoraproject, Opensuse and 1 more 4 Data Plane Development Kit, Fedora, Leap and 1 more 2024-11-21 2.1 LOW 6.0 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in DPDK versions 19.11 and above. A malicious container that has direct access to the vhost-user socket can keep sending VHOST_USER_GET_INFLIGHT_FD messages, causing a resource leak (file descriptors and virtual memory), which may result in a denial of service.
CVE-2020-10725 4 Dpdk, Fedoraproject, Opensuse and 1 more 4 Data Plane Development Kit, Fedora, Leap and 1 more 2024-11-21 4.0 MEDIUM 7.7 HIGH
A flaw was found in DPDK version 19.11 and above that allows a malicious guest to cause a segmentation fault of the vhost-user backend application running on the host, which could result in a loss of connectivity for the other guests running on that host. This is caused by a missing validity check of the descriptor address in the function `virtio_dev_rx_batch_packed()`.
CVE-2020-10723 5 Canonical, Dpdk, Fedoraproject and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Data Plane Development Kit, Fedora and 3 more 2024-11-21 4.6 MEDIUM 5.1 MEDIUM
A memory corruption issue was found in DPDK versions 17.05 and above. This flaw is caused by an integer truncation on the index of a payload. Under certain circumstances, the index (a UInt) is copied and truncated into a uint16, which can lead to out of bound indexing and possible memory corruption.
CVE-2020-10722 5 Canonical, Dpdk, Fedoraproject and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Data Plane Development Kit, Fedora and 3 more 2024-11-21 4.6 MEDIUM 5.1 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in DPDK versions 18.05 and above. A missing check for an integer overflow in vhost_user_set_log_base() could result in a smaller memory map than requested, possibly allowing memory corruption.
CVE-2020-10713 4 Debian, Gnu, Opensuse and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Grub2, Leap and 1 more 2024-11-21 4.6 MEDIUM 8.2 HIGH
A flaw was found in grub2, prior to version 2.06. An attacker may use the GRUB 2 flaw to hijack and tamper the GRUB verification process. This flaw also allows the bypass of Secure Boot protections. In order to load an untrusted or modified kernel, an attacker would first need to establish access to the system such as gaining physical access, obtain the ability to alter a pxe-boot network, or have remote access to a networked system with root access. With this access, an attacker could then craft a string to cause a buffer overflow by injecting a malicious payload that leads to arbitrary code execution within GRUB. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability.
CVE-2020-10711 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 8 more 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the Linux kernel's SELinux subsystem in versions before 5.7. This flaw occurs while importing the Commercial IP Security Option (CIPSO) protocol's category bitmap into the SELinux extensible bitmap via the' ebitmap_netlbl_import' routine. While processing the CIPSO restricted bitmap tag in the 'cipso_v4_parsetag_rbm' routine, it sets the security attribute to indicate that the category bitmap is present, even if it has not been allocated. This issue leads to a NULL pointer dereference issue while importing the same category bitmap into SELinux. This flaw allows a remote network user to crash the system kernel, resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2020-10704 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Opensuse and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Leap and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found when using samba as an Active Directory Domain Controller. Due to the way samba handles certain requests as an Active Directory Domain Controller LDAP server, an unauthorized user can cause a stack overflow leading to a denial of service. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability. This issue affects all samba versions before 4.10.15, before 4.11.8 and before 4.12.2.
CVE-2020-10700 3 Fedoraproject, Opensuse, Samba 3 Fedora, Leap, Samba 2024-11-21 2.6 LOW 5.3 MEDIUM
A use-after-free flaw was found in the way samba AD DC LDAP servers, handled 'Paged Results' control is combined with the 'ASQ' control. A malicious user in a samba AD could use this flaw to cause denial of service. This issue affects all samba versions before 4.10.15, before 4.11.8 and before 4.12.2.
CVE-2020-10690 6 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 3 more 33 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 30 more 2024-11-21 4.4 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
There is a use-after-free in kernel versions before 5.5 due to a race condition between the release of ptp_clock and cdev while resource deallocation. When a (high privileged) process allocates a ptp device file (like /dev/ptpX) and voluntarily goes to sleep. During this time if the underlying device is removed, it can cause an exploitable condition as the process wakes up to terminate and clean all attached files. The system crashes due to the cdev structure being invalid (as already freed) which is pointed to by the inode.
CVE-2020-10683 5 Canonical, Dom4j Project, Netapp and 2 more 38 Ubuntu Linux, Dom4j, Oncommand Api Services and 35 more 2024-11-21 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
dom4j before 2.0.3 and 2.1.x before 2.1.3 allows external DTDs and External Entities by default, which might enable XXE attacks. However, there is popular external documentation from OWASP showing how to enable the safe, non-default behavior in any application that uses dom4j.
CVE-2020-10663 6 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 6 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The JSON gem through 2.2.0 for Ruby, as used in Ruby 2.4 through 2.4.9, 2.5 through 2.5.7, and 2.6 through 2.6.5, has an Unsafe Object Creation Vulnerability. This is quite similar to CVE-2013-0269, but does not rely on poor garbage-collection behavior within Ruby. Specifically, use of JSON parsing methods can lead to creation of a malicious object within the interpreter, with adverse effects that are application-dependent.
CVE-2020-10648 2 Denx, Opensuse 2 U-boot, Leap 2024-11-21 6.8 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
Das U-Boot through 2020.01 allows attackers to bypass verified boot restrictions and subsequently boot arbitrary images by providing a crafted FIT image to a system configured to boot the default configuration.
CVE-2020-10593 2 Opensuse, Torproject 3 Backports Sle, Leap, Tor 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Tor before 0.3.5.10, 0.4.x before 0.4.1.9, and 0.4.2.x before 0.4.2.7 allows remote attackers to cause a Denial of Service (memory leak), aka TROVE-2020-004. This occurs in circpad_setup_machine_on_circ because a circuit-padding machine can be negotiated twice on the same circuit.
CVE-2020-10592 2 Opensuse, Torproject 3 Backports, Leap, Tor 2024-11-21 7.8 HIGH 7.5 HIGH
Tor before 0.3.5.10, 0.4.x before 0.4.1.9, and 0.4.2.x before 0.4.2.7 allows remote attackers to cause a Denial of Service (CPU consumption), aka TROVE-2020-002.
CVE-2020-10543 4 Fedoraproject, Opensuse, Oracle and 1 more 15 Fedora, Leap, Communications Billing And Revenue Management and 12 more 2024-11-21 6.4 MEDIUM 8.2 HIGH
Perl before 5.30.3 on 32-bit platforms allows a heap-based buffer overflow because nested regular expression quantifiers have an integer overflow.
CVE-2020-10531 9 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 8 more 2024-11-21 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ through 66.1. An integer overflow, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow, exists in the UnicodeString::doAppend() function in common/unistr.cpp.
CVE-2020-10135 2 Bluetooth, Opensuse 2 Bluetooth Core, Leap 2024-11-21 4.8 MEDIUM 5.4 MEDIUM
Legacy pairing and secure-connections pairing authentication in Bluetooth BR/EDR Core Specification v5.2 and earlier may allow an unauthenticated user to complete authentication without pairing credentials via adjacent access. An unauthenticated, adjacent attacker could impersonate a Bluetooth BR/EDR master or slave to pair with a previously paired remote device to successfully complete the authentication procedure without knowing the link key.
