CVE-2022-38177 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isc and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Bind and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
By spoofing the target resolver with responses that have a malformed ECDSA signature, an attacker can trigger a small memory leak. It is possible to gradually erode available memory to the point where named crashes for lack of resources.
CVE-2022-36773 | 2 Ibm, Netapp | 2 Cognos Analytics, Oncommand Insight | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH |
IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.7, 11.2.0, and 11.2.1 is vulnerable to an XML External Entity Injection (XXE) attack when processing XML data. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to expose sensitive information or consume memory resources. IBM X-Force ID: 233571.
CVE-2022-36123 | 2 Linux, Netapp | 11 Linux Kernel, H300s, H300s Firmware and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
The Linux kernel before 5.18.13 lacks a certain clear operation for the block starting symbol (.bss). This allows Xen PV guest OS users to cause a denial of service or gain privileges.
CVE-2022-36033 | 2 Jsoup, Netapp | 4 Jsoup, Management Services For Element Software, Management Services For Netapp Hci and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.1 MEDIUM |
jsoup is a Java HTML parser, built for HTML editing, cleaning, scraping, and cross-site scripting (XSS) safety. jsoup may incorrectly sanitize HTML including `javascript:` URL expressions, which could allow XSS attacks when a reader subsequently clicks that link. If the non-default `SafeList.preserveRelativeLinks` option is enabled, HTML including `javascript:` URLs that have been crafted with control characters will not be sanitized. If the site that this HTML is published on does not set a Content Security Policy, an XSS attack is then possible. This issue is patched in jsoup 1.15.3. Users should upgrade to this version. Additionally, as the unsanitized input may have been persisted, old content should be cleaned again using the updated version. To remediate this issue without immediately upgrading: - disable `SafeList.preserveRelativeLinks`, which will rewrite input URLs as absolute URLs - ensure an appropriate [Content Security Policy](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CSP) is defined. (This should be used regardless of upgrading, as a defence-in-depth best practice.)
CVE-2022-35737 | 3 Netapp, Splunk, Sqlite | 3 Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility, Universal Forwarder, Sqlite | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
SQLite 1.0.12 through 3.39.x before 3.39.2 sometimes allows an array-bounds overflow if billions of bytes are used in a string argument to a C API.
CVE-2022-35278 | 2 Apache, Netapp | 3 Activemq Artemis, Active Iq Unified Manager, Oncommand Workflow Automation | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.1 MEDIUM |
In Apache ActiveMQ Artemis prior to 2.24.0, an attacker could show malicious content and/or redirect users to a malicious URL in the web console by using HTML in the name of an address or queue.
CVE-2022-35260 | 4 Apple, Haxx, Netapp and 1 more | 12 Macos, Curl, Clustered Data Ontap and 9 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
curl can be told to parse a `.netrc` file for credentials. If that file endsin a line with 4095 consecutive non-white space letters and no newline, curlwould first read past the end of the stack-based buffer, and if the readworks, write a zero byte beyond its boundary. This will in most cases cause a segfault or similar, but circumstances might also cause different outcomes. If a malicious user can provide a custom netrc file to an application or otherwise affect its contents, this flaw could be used as denial-of-service.
CVE-2022-34918 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 13 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.18.9. A type confusion bug in nft_set_elem_init (leading to a buffer overflow) could be used by a local attacker to escalate privileges, a different vulnerability than CVE-2022-32250. (The attacker can obtain root access, but must start with an unprivileged user namespace to obtain CAP_NET_ADMIN access.) This can be fixed in nft_setelem_parse_data in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c.
CVE-2022-34903 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnupg and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Gnupg and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
GnuPG through 2.3.6, in unusual situations where an attacker possesses any secret-key information from a victim's keyring and other constraints (e.g., use of GPGME) are met, allows signature forgery via injection into the status line.
CVE-2022-34526 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libtiff and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libtiff and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
A stack overflow was discovered in the _TIFFVGetField function of Tiffsplit v4.4.0. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted TIFF file parsed by the "tiffsplit" or "tiffcrop" utilities.
CVE-2022-34169 | 6 Apache, Azul, Debian and 3 more | 16 Xalan-java, Zulu, Debian Linux and 13 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
The Apache Xalan Java XSLT library is vulnerable to an integer truncation issue when processing malicious XSLT stylesheets. This can be used to corrupt Java class files generated by the internal XSLTC compiler and execute arbitrary Java bytecode. Users are recommended to update to version 2.7.3 or later. Note: Java runtimes (such as OpenJDK) include repackaged copies of Xalan.
CVE-2022-33980 | 3 Apache, Debian, Netapp | 3 Commons Configuration, Debian Linux, Snapcenter | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
Apache Commons Configuration performs variable interpolation, allowing properties to be dynamically evaluated and expanded. The standard format for interpolation is "${prefix:name}", where "prefix" is used to locate an instance of org.apache.commons.configuration2.interpol.Lookup that performs the interpolation. Starting with version 2.4 and continuing through 2.7, the set of default Lookup instances included interpolators that could result in arbitrary code execution or contact with remote servers. These lookups are: - "script" - execute expressions using the JVM script execution engine (javax.script) - "dns" - resolve dns records - "url" - load values from urls, including from remote servers Applications using the interpolation defaults in the affected versions may be vulnerable to remote code execution or unintentional contact with remote servers if untrusted configuration values are used. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Commons Configuration 2.8.0, which disables the problematic interpolators by default.
CVE-2022-32250 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more | 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c in the Linux kernel through 5.18.1 allows a local user (able to create user/net namespaces) to escalate privileges to root because an incorrect NFT_STATEFUL_EXPR check leads to a use-after-free.
CVE-2022-32221 | 5 Apple, Debian, Haxx and 2 more | 13 Macos, Debian Linux, Curl and 10 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 9.8 CRITICAL |
When doing HTTP(S) transfers, libcurl might erroneously use the read callback (`CURLOPT_READFUNCTION`) to ask for data to send, even when the `CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS` option has been set, if the same handle previously was used to issue a `PUT` request which used that callback. This flaw may surprise the application and cause it to misbehave and either send off the wrong data or use memory after free or similar in the subsequent `POST` request. The problem exists in the logic for a reused handle when it is changed from a PUT to a POST.
CVE-2022-31676 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 3 more | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
VMware Tools (12.0.0, 11.x.y and 10.x.y) contains a local privilege escalation vulnerability. A malicious actor with local non-administrative access to the Guest OS can escalate privileges as a root user in the virtual machine.
CVE-2022-31160 | 5 Debian, Drupal, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 15 Debian Linux, Jquery Ui Checkboxradio, Fedora and 12 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.1 MEDIUM |
jQuery UI is a curated set of user interface interactions, effects, widgets, and themes built on top of jQuery. Versions prior to 1.13.2 are potentially vulnerable to cross-site scripting. Initializing a checkboxradio widget on an input enclosed within a label makes that parent label contents considered as the input label. Calling `.checkboxradio( "refresh" )` on such a widget and the initial HTML contained encoded HTML entities will make them erroneously get decoded. This can lead to potentially executing JavaScript code. The bug has been patched in jQuery UI 1.13.2. To remediate the issue, someone who can change the initial HTML can wrap all the non-input contents of the `label` in a `span`.
CVE-2022-31123 | 2 Grafana, Netapp | 2 Grafana, E-series Performance Analyzer | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.1 MEDIUM |
Grafana is an open source observability and data visualization platform. Versions prior to 9.1.8 and 8.5.14 are vulnerable to a bypass in the plugin signature verification. An attacker can convince a server admin to download and successfully run a malicious plugin even though unsigned plugins are not allowed. Versions 9.1.8 and 8.5.14 contain a patch for this issue. As a workaround, do not install plugins downloaded from untrusted sources.
CVE-2022-31107 | 2 Grafana, Netapp | 2 Grafana, E-series Performance Analyzer | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH |
Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability. In versions 5.3 until 9.0.3, 8.5.9, 8.4.10, and 8.3.10, it is possible for a malicious user who has authorization to log into a Grafana instance via a configured OAuth IdP which provides a login name to take over the account of another user in that Grafana instance. This can occur when the malicious user is authorized to log in to Grafana via OAuth, the malicious user's external user id is not already associated with an account in Grafana, the malicious user's email address is not already associated with an account in Grafana, and the malicious user knows the Grafana username of the target user. If these conditions are met, the malicious user can set their username in the OAuth provider to that of the target user, then go through the OAuth flow to log in to Grafana. Due to the way that external and internal user accounts are linked together during login, if the conditions above are all met then the malicious user will be able to log in to the target user's Grafana account. Versions 9.0.3, 8.5.9, 8.4.10, and 8.3.10 contain a patch for this issue. As a workaround, concerned users can disable OAuth login to their Grafana instance, or ensure that all users authorized to log in via OAuth have a corresponding user account in Grafana linked to their email address.
CVE-2022-31097 | 2 Grafana, Netapp | 2 Grafana, E-series Performance Analyzer | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.3 HIGH |
Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability. Versions on the 8.x and 9.x branch prior to 9.0.3, 8.5.9, 8.4.10, and 8.3.10 are vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting via the Unified Alerting feature of Grafana. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to escalate privilege from editor to admin by tricking an authenticated admin to click on a link. Versions 9.0.3, 8.5.9, 8.4.10, and 8.3.10 contain a patch. As a workaround, it is possible to disable alerting or use legacy alerting.
